Swadesh Mrittika Manob Unnayan Songstha first Initiative Swadesh Mrittika Adarsh Bidyaniketan School Agargaon Branch. This branch started its journey in 2011 with only 20 disadvantaged children. Gradually thenumber of students in this branch is now over a hundred. In addition to classes, quality nutritious food is provided 6 days a week. In this branch, teaching is being done from children’s class to fifth class. The students of 2019 and 2020 are being trained to participate in the final examination of fifth class of primary school. They passed the preliminary final examination successfully. Also the first computer lab has been set up at Agargaon branch. There the children are endowed with technical knowledge. There are plans to set up computer labs in other branches in the future. This is how the Agargaon branch of Swadesh Mrittika Adarsh Bidyaniketan School is moving forward. The study here begins by the national anthem.
However, it is impossible to bring all sections of the people under the formal education system. A large number of children cannot enter the education system due to various reasons; these include poverty and rising inequality, widening disparities in educational opportunities and facilities, poor class attendance and alarming dropout rates, lack of skilled teachers, lack of scientific curriculum, high cost of school-education, imposition of newer systems of education without proper teachers-training programs, etc.

In addition to this, to address the need of those who do not have access to traditional schools, Swadesh Mrittika Manob Unnayan Songstha has introduced alternative learning opportunities and developed a curriculum that reflects the special needs of the children and adolescents and empowers them to cope with life.
